Job SummaryThe School of Nursing and Health Sciences is seeking a dynamic faculty member for the Exercise Science and Health Promotion tracks of the Health Sciences program. The position is a full‑time, non‑tenure‑track appointment with a starting salary of $60,000, increasing based on experience.
Responsibilities- Teach 15 credit hours per semester, including lectures and labs, in the Exercise Science and Health Promotion tracks.
- Courses may include Clinical Exercise Physiology, Theories & Techniques of Strength & Conditioning, Exercise & Wellness Facility Management, Health Assessment & Evaluation, Concepts of Health & Disease, Wellness Methods & Strategies, Health Promotion Curriculum & Education, Survey of Environmental Health.
- Develop and update curriculum, course content, and lab manuals.
- Maintain campus office hours, prepare lesson plans, syllabi, lectures, quizzes, exams, and submit grades and attendance reports; commit to high‑impact practices.
- Supervise health science students in laboratory, scholarship, and internship settings.
- Maintain lab environment, including equipment updates, purchases, and repair.
- Travel to site locations when necessary.
- Master of Science in Exercise Science or a related field.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and a yearly Motor Vehicle Report review.
- In‑person and/or online classroom/lab teaching experience.
- Professional experience in exercise physiology, rehabilitation, exercise science, or a closely related field.
- Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification within six months of hire.
- Health and wellness certifications such as EP‑C, CHES, or equivalent.
- Successful completion of background investigation and legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Approval of credentials and employment history; satisfactory credit check, if applicable.
- Pre‑employment drug test may be required.
