Operations Engineering Specialist I - Special Missions

Position is located in Brunswick. Experience interpreting G550 blueprints is preferred but not required.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Advanced degree in engineering related field preferred. 5 years in the specific technical discipline or 10 years broad engineering experience in several technical disciplines, or 3 years in the specific technical discipline with Masters degree, or 1 year in the specific technical discipline with PhD.

Position

Purpose:

Assist with the planning, coordination, performance of methods, tooling, and design supporting the development and production of Gulfstream products and services.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide and maintain detailed work instructions for manufacturing process.
• Drive quality and efficiency improvements.
• Manage the daily work plan.
• Provide metrics for quality and schedule performance.
• Coordinate engineering and tooling changes as required.
• Contribute to the planning, developing and coordinating of important manufacturing and engineering projects aimed at process development and improvement in the manufacturing areas.
• Provide specialized technical assistance and training to Operations Engineering team members.
• Use advanced techniques and modified extension of theories to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems that affect the successful manufacture of the aircraft, installation of systems, or performance of the final product.
• Determine and develop individual approach to solutions within schedule and cost objectives.
• Act as liaison with representatives from other organizations and suppliers.
