Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI examinations across applicable body areas; breast MRI capability is preferred
  • Prepare patients and MRI equipment; ensure safety protocols, screen for contraindications, and maintain sterile technique
  • Position patients, select appropriate coils, and adjust imaging parameters and protocols to obtain diagnostic-quality images
  • Monitor patients during scans; manage contrast administration according to facility protocol when trained and credentialed
  • Review acquired images for technical quality and communicate findings with radiologists as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation, process imaging orders, and uphold clean, safe, and organized work spaces
Requirements
  • Active radiology licensure as required by state regulations for MRI practice
  • Certification in MRI (e.g., ARRT MRI) preferred or as allowed by state requirements
  • Minimum 1 year MRI experience in a hospital setting (or equivalent)
  • Ability to work rotating day shifts; 12-hour shift schedule; strong communication and patient-care skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a hospital environment and adhere to safety and procedural protocols
