Essential Responsibilities:
- Develop teamwork within the Information Systems Team.
- Performs Systems Administration for all platforms to include creating user accounts; setting file and folder permissions and troubleshooting hardware and software applications.
- Pages authorized personnel as requested. Pages Emergency Hospital Codes and stat calls efficiently. Notifies personnel and departments of Emergency Hospital Codes. Secures when notified.
- Responsible for moving PC workstations and peripheral equipment including transport, setup, and dismantling of computer hardware systems, and installing and moving of telephone and data wiring.
- Monitors and annunciates the Fire Alarm System and the Emergency Notification Alarms. Monitors and annunciates as a back-up to Engineering, the Medical Gas Alarm System.
- Monitors Hard Drive Capacities for Network systems and moves files as capacity dictates.
- Provides first level desktop support utilizing Helpdesk to initiate and complete trouble tickets. Maintains records and work area in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Sets up and operates peripheral devices and freestanding support equipment. Performs activities of peripheral equipment operations. Loads peripheral equipment such as tapes and printer paper for operating runs
- Answers the customer service phone. Obtains pertinent data regarding issues from caller. Logs the data into the software utilized to track issues. Provides the caller with the callback identification () number by return e-mail or by voice message. Forwards the call to the appropriate group/person within the IS department. Reports any deviations to the Customer Service Team Leader for follow-up.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Associate's Degree in IS or related field (or experience equivalent) preferred /li>
- 5 years' experience in PC operations.
- 3 year PBX experience including medical technology, disaster and emergency codes; and handling large volumes of internal and external calls.
- 3 year in data center operations and Microsoft Office applications preferred.
- Ability to communicate calmly, effectively, and continuously with callers on a daily basis.
- Possess interviewing and listening skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
- 5 years' experience in PC operations.
- 3 year PBX experience including medical technology, disaster and emergency codes; and handling large volumes of internal and external calls.
- 3 year in data center operations and Microsoft Office applications preferred.
