* Collaborate with DBAs to optimize the Solar Winds SQL database, ensuring proper indexing, maintenance plans, and query performance to prevent platform latency.
* Perform capacity planning for the Solar Winds infrastructure, monitoring poller performance and database size to forecast future hardware or licensing needs.
* Serve as the ultimate point of escalation (Tier 3/4) for complex monitoring and platform-related issues.
* Implement and manage Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), ensuring strict security boundaries and least-privilege access for all platform users.
* Ensure the Solar Winds environment adheres to enterprise security standards (e.g., applying STIGs, managing SSL certificates, auditing platform access).
* Mentor and train junior administrators and NOC staff on Solar Winds best practices, navigation, and basic troubleshooting.
