DutiesServing as a Maintenance Mechanic WG-4749-10 makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) team and mission. This position is located in the Facilities Operations Branch, Facilities Management Division under the Mission and Readiness Support Directorate of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) in Glynco, Georgia.
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Maintenance Mechanic responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and performing requisite installation and repair duties for the upkeep, operation, and utilization of the agency's specialized training facilities and support facilities. The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the continual, safe, and proper operation of all building systems to include, but not limited to, computer controlled firearms target systems, direct digital controlled (DDC) heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems (HVAC), electrical, plumbing, fire alarm systems, chiller/boiler systems and auxiliary equipment, and other related trades.

- Bargaining Unit:
This is a bargaining unit covered position, represented under the National Treasury Employees Union (NTEU). - You will need to set up direct deposit so we can pay you.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state issued driver's license to conduct official government business.
- This position is not eligible to telework.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Overtime may be required.
- Shift work may be required.
- Weekends and federal holidays may be required.
- Must be able to meet job-related medical and/or fitness standards. Subject to pre-appointment and annual physical examination, which includes a "fit" test for a respirator, chest x-ray, and blood work.
- Must obtain and maintain an EPA 608 Certification for Refrigerant Handling within 180 days of employment.
- This is a non-bargaining unit position.
