At IAP LLC, the Campaign/PUP Technician is responsible for inspecting vehicles according to manufacturer’s requirements and according to PDI checklist and updated bulletins.
- Perform interior checks for fit and finish, electrical and mechanical inspections of accessories and lights.
- Perform exterior inspection for body damage or poor fit.
- Complete PDI Check sheet and other paperwork in an efficient and thorough manner.
- Inspect the exterior paintwork for defects or damage.
- Work one on one with the manufacturer.
- Perform wet sand, high-speed buff, and polish vehicles.
- Complete small paint touch-ups.
Work with detail department on problems found. - Make judgement calls on the severity of identified defects / problems.
- Maintain a clean and hazard free work environment and follow all policies and procedures regarding safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned including travel to offsite facilities.
- SHIFT: Monday – Friday 6:30am – 3:00pm with possible overtime and weekend work as directed by business need.
- High School Diploma or GED
- 6+ months of automotive technical training or mechanical experience
- Valid US Driver’s License
- Obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Badge) issued by the Department of Homeland Security
- Experience operating automatic and straight (manual) shift vehicles
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Must have own tools and willingness to maintain the tools necessary to complete daily tasks
- Experience in an auto port processing environment
- Work in tight spaces and congested quarters.
- Lift, push, and or pull up to 40lbs.
- Extended periods of standing, kneeling and bending.
- Maneuver a 30 lb. compressor into tight quarters and secure in proper position.
- Work in varying climates as well as be exposed to outdoor elements such as heat, cold, rain, and other conditions
