Your Job

Georgia-Pacific is looking for a Production Team Member in Brunswick, GA. This entry‑level position offers advancement opportunities and supports facility production goals by operating lift trucks, paper machinery, and maintaining a safe environment.

Compensation:
Starting pay $21.72/hr with overtime and quarterly bonuses available.
Shift: Rotating 12‑hour schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and overtime.

The Georgia‑Pacific Brunswick mill has been operating since 1937, producing over 800,000 tons of cellulose each year and is the largest single‑site fluff production facility in the world.

What You Will Do
  • Strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment
  • Work as a team to meet and exceed safety, production, and quality goals
  • Perform quality checks and keep the designated work area clean throughout the shift
  • Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets
  • Perform housekeeping duties, including cleaning the paper machine’s dryer/vent equipment and operating a forklift to recycle waste
  • Assist with troubleshooting minor machine malfunctions, making machine adjustments, and equipment changeovers, which may include working in high and/or confined spaces
  • Work efficiently in a fast‑paced, industrial environment that is hot, cold, humid, noisy, and may involve dust, oil, grease, chemicals, and other substances
  • Perform tasks that entail lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, pushing and/or pulling for at least 12 hours per day
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience using a computer, tablet, or smartphone
What Will Put You Ahead
  • One year of experience within a manufacturing, warehouse, or construction environment
  • Two or more years of technical degree or higher
  • Mechanical experience
  • Prior forklift experience
