Position: Manufacturing Supervisor (weekends)

Manufacturing Supervisor (Weekend Shift)

NSC Staffing is partnering with a leading manufacturer supporting complex industrial and marine projects to identify an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor for a newly established weekend shift operation.

Location:

Brunswick, GA

Schedule:

Friday through Sunday | 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM Compensation: $85,000 - $100,000 annually

About the Opportunity

This is a unique leadership opportunity to help launch and build a new production shift. During the first 60 to 90 days, the selected candidate will complete onboarding and training while learning operations, processes, and production requirements. Following that period, the supervisor will play a key role in helping implement and support expanded shift operations while developing a high performing manufacturing team.

We are seeking a hands on leader with strong manufacturing experience, proven supervisory skills, and the ability to drive safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities Production & Shift Leadership
  • Lead and supervise manufacturing employees during weekend operations
  • Coordinate labor, equipment, and resources to meet production goals
  • Manage daily production schedules to ensure products are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards
  • Establish work priorities and quickly resolve production issues that may impact schedules
  • Monitor workflow and ensure smooth communication between shifts for effective turnover and continuity
Safety & Compliance
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture throughout the facility
  • Ensure employees follow all safety procedures, policies, and work instructions
  • Identify and report safety concerns and corrective actions
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment
Team Development
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and leadership to production employees
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support employee development
  • Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training manufacturing personnel
  • Coordinate training programs to improve employee skills and cross training capabilities
Continuous Improvement
  • Lead initiatives focused on improving productivity, quality, and operational efficiency
  • Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve manufacturing processes
  • Recommend improvements to equipment, facilities, and procedures that enhance safety and performance
Reporting & Administration
  • Monitor department performance metrics and production results
  • Assist in managing labor and operational budgets
  • Prepare reports related to production, safety, quality, and workforce performance
  • Support additional operational objectives as assigned by management
Qualifications Required
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong ability to read and interpret manufacturing blueprints and technical drawings
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
Preferred
  • Experience in engineered to order or custom manufacturing environments
  • Background supervising fabrication, welding, paint, machining, or mechanical assembly operations
  • Experience launching new shifts, departments, or production teams
  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
Work Environment

This position operates in both office and manufacturing floor environments. Employees should be comfortable working around production equipment, loud noise, vibration, and varying temperatures. Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and other physical activities are required throughout the workday.
