Overview

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D), Brunswick, Georgia, United States. This is a travel, temporary assignment for 13 weeks in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities
  • Provide labor and postpartum nursing care for obstetric patients, including triage of admissions and ongoing assessment.
  • Circulate during labor and assist with deliveries as appropriate; recover patients in PACU and monitor post‑delivery status.
  • Administer medications, manage IV therapy, monitor maternal and fetal well‑being, and respond to obstetric emergencies.
  • Deliver postpartum care for the mother and newborn (couplet care), including education, breastfeeding support, and discharge planning.
  • Collaborate with obstetric team, anesthesia, and neonatal staff; document care accurately in the electronic medical record; uphold infection control and patient safety standards.
Requirements
  • Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia (in good standing).
  • Experience in labor and delivery and postpartum nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to work 3×12‑hour night shifts and travel to the assignment location.
  • Strong patient‑centered communication and teamwork skills within an obstetric setting.
  • Ability to triage, circulate, recover in PACU, and provide postpartum care to couplets.
