Southeast Georgia Health System is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical to join our 5 Surgical Tower team in Brunswick, GA on the night shift. Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care to medical-surgical patients
- Manage assigned patient care using sound clinical judgment and evidence-based practices
- Deliver care utilizing standardized guidelines, appropriate resources, and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Monitor, assess, and respond to patient conditions, including post-surgical care, wound care, injuries, and observation needs
- Communicate effectively with physicians, care teams, patients, and families to ensure optimal outcomes
- Promote safety, quality, and service excellence at all times
- Develop nursing diagnoses and individualized plans of care, including patient and family education
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with Health System policies
- Review diagnostic test results and take appropriate clinical action
- Evaluate and reassess nursing interventions and revise care plans as needed
- Graduate of a Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing program
- BSN preferred
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Georgia
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within the first week of orientation (required and maintained)
- ACLS, PALS, or NRP, as applicable to unit, within 6 months of hire
- Strong clinical judgment and nursing skills compliant with Georgia nursing practice laws
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Positive interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Ability to care for patients across the lifespan, including pediatric, adult, and elderly populations
