Position: Travel Registered Nurse PCU Job

Overview

Registered Nurse – PCU (Tele step-down high-acuity) travel assignment. Start date 07/13/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $1,618–$1,754 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (3x12). Setting: hospital travel assignment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care on a tele‑step‑down high‑acuity unit, including post‑ICU care and monitoring of patients requiring drips and stable ventilation support (no vasopressors)
  • Administer medications and IV therapies per physician orders, monitor patient response, and adjust care as needed within scope
  • Monitor and document patient status using the Cerner charting system; communicate changes to the care team promptly
  • Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other clinicians to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Maintain patient safety through frequent assessments, early identification of deterioration, and adherence to unit protocols
  • Readiness to float to Tele/Tele MS/MS units and work independently in fast‑paced environments with PCT assistance as needed
Requirements
  • Active registered nurse license in good standing (state‑specific to the assignment)
  • Experience in high‑acuity, tele/step‑down or IMCU settings preferred
  • Proficiency or familiarity with Cerner charting
  • Ability to float to Tele/Tele M/S units as needed
  • Comfortable working nights and 12‑hour shifts; capable of working independently in a fast‑paced unit
