Training Exercise Role Player (Brunswick, GA)
OTA is seeking dependable individuals to support realistic, mission-focused training exercises. This role is especially well suited for individuals with experience in military, law enforcement, public safety, security, emergency response, federal service, or other operational environments who want to continue contributing to a meaningful training mission.
We are looking for people who can take direction, learn an assignment, stay focused, work as part of a team, and adjust when the situation changes. Help support a mission that matters by preparing students for the challenges they may face in real world operational environments.
Responsibilities- Learn assigned personas, backgrounds, behaviors, and scenario objectives.
- Accurately carry out instructions throughout training exercises.
- Participate in physically active scenarios that may include running, kneeling, crawling, crouching, or lying on the ground.
- Stay in role while reacting appropriately to student decisions and actions.
- Adjust your behavior as the training scenario develops.
- Participate in controlled student search exercises.
- Follow established safety, security, and access procedures at all times.
- Maintain professionalism in a controlled training environment.
- Arrive on time, prepared, and ready for your assigned mission.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- U.S. Citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident, living in the U.S. for more than 3 years.
- Valid REAL r's license.
- Physically capable of completing assigned training activities.
- Strong ability to follow instructions and remember details.
- Able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Dependable and comfortable working within established procedures.
- Experience supporting exercises, training events, simulations, emergency response, security, or operational activities, including the use of training props, simulated weapons, and scenario specific equipment.
- Familiarity with safely handling, staging, or using simulated weapons, props, protective equipment, or other training aids as directed during exercises.
- Familiarity with federal facilities, restricted-access environments, or controlled training areas.
- Existing installation/base access.
Assignments vary depending on training requirements. Report times may range from 6:15am to 6:00pm
, and most assignments last 2-4 hours
. Some exercises may run until midnight. Flexible availability is highly valued.
