We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician with strong organizational, leadership, and communication abilities to help deliver exceptional results on our projects.
The Journeyman Electrician is a licensed electrical professional responsible for performing skilled work related to the installation, maintenance, repair, and modernization of electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments. This role includes reading and interpreting plans, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring all work complies with electrical codes and safety standards. Journeyman Electricians also play a key role in mentoring and guiding Apprentices and CW/CE team members.
This position typically reports to a Field Superintendent or Foreman.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Install, repair, maintain, and upgrade electrical systems for buildings, equipment, and site infrastructure.
- Perform skilled electrical work requiring a high level of technical knowledge and manual competency.
- Diagnose electrical malfunctions using testing devices and equipment.
- Repair electrical issues, such as replacing fuses, wiring, motors, switches, and related components.
- Test electrical systems—including motors, heaters, and controls—for safety, functionality, and efficiency.
- Install and terminate electrical conduit, cable tray, wiring, Motor Control Centers (MCCs), switch gear, and PLC cabinets.
- Inspect circuits to ensure proper shielding, grounding, bonding, and code compliance.
- Work with and understand security, fire alarm, and low‑voltage systems.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas and follow all safety guidelines and company procedures.
- Train, mentor, and oversee Apprentices and CW/CE personnel.
Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the electrical trade, codes, and industry standards.
- Ability to assess situations, interpret specifications, and make sound technical decisions.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and sustain physical effort at frequent intervals.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer‑provided sponsorship.
Physical Demands- Perform manual labor as required that may include:
- Manual excavation
- Bending pipe
- Pulling wire
- Lifting 50 pounds
- Working with hands overhead
- Using heavy equipment
- Using power tools
