Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Level IV (E4) Maintenance Technician / Mechanic Lead to bring advanced technical expertise and leadership to our maintenance team. This senior‑level role is critical to ensuring equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and team performance across our operations.

In this position, you will lead complex troubleshooting and repairs, support welding and fabrication needs, and play a key role in maintaining cranes and heavy equipment. As a trusted leader, you will also mentor junior mechanics, drive skill development, and help elevate overall team performance through hands‑on training and guidance.

Key Responsibilities & Expertise
  • Perform fueling, inspections, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs to maintain equipment reliability
  • Execute complex mechanical repairs (hydraulic, pneumatic, brakes, hubs, drive/steer systems)
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues across mechanical, electrical, PLC, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and software (Cummins, Volvo, PLC systems) to identify and resolve problems
Advanced Technical Skills
  • Perform PLC troubleshooting and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
  • Identify root causes and restore equipment to OEM standards
Leadership - Mechanic Lead
  • Lead and mentor mechanics, providing technical guidance and training
  • Assign work orders and ensure quality, efficiency, and timely completion
  • Communicate with operations and dispatch on equipment status
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred
  • 3–5 years of experience in crane or heavy equipment maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, PLC programming, and diagnostics
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, service manuals, and technical drawings
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company insurability requirements
  • TWIC card required or ability to obtain
  • Strong communication skills in English; bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
