MissionReeves Construction Company is currently seeking an experienced Equipment Operator based in Brunswick, GA. The successful candidate will focus uncompromisingly on safety excellence.
Main Responsibilities- Maintain a basic knowledge of machine mechanics and hydraulics.
- Conduct inspection checklists on equipment (lights, brakes, fuel, oil, water).
- Keep equipment serviced, lubricated, and in good working order, including housekeeping.
- Understand control levers for bucket movement.
- Prioritize safety and welfare of trench workers during pipe laying operations.
- Have basic knowledge of different soil types.
- Operate the vehicle safely in job‑site situations and follow company policies and procedures.

Education and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
Language
Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form. Handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentPhysical Demands: Must be able to climb onto and up and down a machine several times a day; sit in a machine and operate it for several hours without stopping; withstand vibration and noise from job‑site conditions; use arms, hands, and feet in repetitive motions; perform manual duties such as placing paint drums on the vehicle; lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
Must meet vision criteria of 20/40 with corrective lenses; hearing should be excellent or corrected by audio device.
- Regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach and signal with hands and arms.
- Climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Occasionally sit; frequently stand and walk.
Employees are exposed to moving mechanical parts, weather conditions, vibration, fumes or airborne particles, high or precarious places, and toxic or caustic chemicals. Noise levels are usually very loud.
