Reeves Construction Company is seeking an experienced individual for the position of Asphalt Distributor / Tack Truck Driver based at our Brunswick, GA location. The successful candidate will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- The ability to operate the tack truck.
- The ability to assist the crew with shoveling and other tasks when the tack truck is not in use.
- The willingness and ability to keep the truck maintained and clean.
- Heat the tank prior to starting work.
- Shoot tack on road within specifications.
- Set string line on edges of road if needed.
- The willingness to work nights and weekends if needed.
- The ability to drive in a safe and consistent manner.
- Previous experience (preferred).
- Valid Class A or B CDL (Tanker Endorsement) and a good driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must adhere to all Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). Reeves Construction Company safety regulations.
- High school education, GED or equivalent work experience.
- Experience working in and around construction equipment.
- One or more years of experience in a similar field.
- Must be able to lift 45 pounds.

- Must be able to climb onto and up and down a machine several times a day.
- Must be able to sit in a machine and operate it for several hours without stopping.
- Must withstand vibration from job site conditions as well as noise from other equipment.
- Must be able to use arms, hands, and feet in repetitive motions.
- Must be able to perform manual duties, such as placing paint drums on the vehicle.
Additional requirements include physical activities such as bending, reaching, and lifting up to 60 pounds. Vision and hearing requirements apply as described below.
Work Environment: The work environment is typically loud and may include exposure to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and occasional wet or humid conditions, with high, precarious places and chemicals as potential conditions.
