For a limited time, Maine Health is offering a $3,000 sign‑on bonus for qualified applicants. This bonus will be prorated for part‑time positions. The Patient Service Specialist role ensures patient scheduling and referral needs are met while assisting in the general administrative and patient service needs of the practice.

About the Role:

Maine Health Pulmonology, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine in Brunswick is seeking a Patient Service Specialist (PSS) to join our collaborative, patient‑centered team. This full‑time position plays a key role in providing exceptional front‑line administrative and clerical support to patients and clinical staff within a busy, highly specialized outpatient environment.

As part of our welcoming office team, you’ll help coordinate care for patients managing complex pulmonary, critical care, and sleep‑related conditions.

What You’ll Do:

  • Greet and assist patients in person and by phone in a professional, compassionate manner
  • Schedule appointments, coordinate referrals, and verify insurance
  • Support providers and medical assistants with administrative needs
  • Ensure accurate documentation and smooth patient flow
  • Promote a supportive, organized, and efficient front desk environment

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Education:

    High school diploma or GED preferred.

    Certifications:

  • Experience:

    Six months of medical office experience required.
