Maine Health Cancer Care is seeking a General Oncologist to join the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology at its Brunswick location. The Maine Health Brunswick Practice is located in Brunswick Maine, a family-friendly town that is the home of Bowdoin College and is ideally situated on the scenic coastline of Casco Bay. Brunswick has outstanding schools, a thriving arts and dining scene, and is within easy driving distance of Portland, Maine.
The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues in an established oncology practice affiliated with Mid Coast Hospital, an integral part of the Maine Health Cancer Care Network. General oncologists within the practice evaluate and treat patients with a range of oncologic conditions and are supported by subspecialists throughout the Maine Health system. Participation in system-wide multidisciplinary subspecialty tumor boards is encouraged, and a 1 day/week subspecialty clinic at the primary Maine Health Cancer Center campus in Scarborough/Portland is available for candidates with subspecialty interest.

The cancer and hematology programs have grown significantly over the past three years and exceed 80% market share across the state of Maine. The programs are academically affiliated with the Tufts University School of Medicine and include a fellowship training program as well as robust clinical and translational research efforts, with membership in both NCORP and the NCI cooperative groups.
Prior experience in oncology within an academic health system or academically oriented private practice is preferred, although strong candidates in the early stages of their careers will be considered.
