The Advanced Design Apprenticeship Program is a 4,000 hour (approx. 2 years) apprenticeship program that combines on-the-job training and academic coursework. The 4,000 hours of apprenticeship are within Engineering and Design and include rotations to major work processes. Coursework leads to an Associate of Science Degree from Maine Maritime Academy (MMA).
Required/Preferred Education/TrainingRequired:
- Current BMDA Basic Design Apprentice who is projected to complete program in 2026, OR
- Graduate of BMDA Basic Design Apprenticeship Program
