We are seeking a skilled and passionate Onsite School Psychologist to join our team in Waterboro, ME, for the school year. This role involves providing psychological services to students and collaborating with school staff and families to support student well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students needs and provide remendations.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavioral intervention plans.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing academic, social, and emotional challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to support students' educational and psychological needs.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss and plan interventions for students.
- Assist with crisis intervention and develop strategies to manage and support students in distress.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and student progress.
- Provide training and support to school staff on psychological and behavioral issues.
Requirements:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
- Valid School Psychologist certification in the state of Maine.
- Proven experience in conducting psychological assessments and providing counseling services in an educational setting.
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Experience working with a range of student needs, including academic, social, and emotional challenges.
