Job Summary

This is a Registered Nurse II vacancy open to candidates with greater than one year of RN work experience. The RN will provide nursing care and coordinate care for terminally ill patients of all ages in their homes, utilizing nursing principles, systems, and resources to improve health outcomes.

Sign‑On Bonus

For a limited time, Maine Health is offering up to $10,000 sign‑on bonus for eligible Registered Nurses with 0‑2 years of experience and $20,000 for those with more than 2 years.

  • Eligible candidates are hired into a full or part‑time RN position; bonus amount is prorated for part‑time hires. Per diem hires are ineligible.
  • Current Maine Health member employees are ineligible; former employees are eligible only after a separation period of more than six months.
Role Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) – Hospice Care at Home, Coastal role provides nursing care and coordinates care for terminally ill patients  RN competes in clinical competence, demonstrates ability to care for most assigned patients, and utilizes available resources to develop needed skills over time. This level includes automatic advancement after one year as an RN I, provided the RN is in good standing and meets RN I requirements.

Qualifications
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • License/

    Certifications:

    Current applicable state license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of start date. Valid driver’s license and vehicle with liability insurance required.
  • Experience: One year of recent RN experience required. Automatic advancement from RN I level if all onboarding requirements are met, including the New Grad Residency where applicable.
