Mid Coast Hospital is offering a Registered Nurse 2 vacancy open to candidates with greater than 1 year of RN work experience. For a limited time Maine Health is offering a $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible Registered Nurses with 0-2 years of RN experience and $20,000 for Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of RN work experience!
Summary:
This is a Part-time, 24 hour/week, Night shift position.

The ICU fosters a culture grounded in kindness, respect, and collaboration. Our highly engaged, high-functioning team works together to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care in a supportive and accountable environment. Our 11-bed ICU is a multi-specialty critical care unit that provides care for patients experiencing conditions such as heart attack, stroke, severe respiratory insufficiency, and overwhelming infection. Each patient presents with complex and evolving needs, requiring critical thinking, adaptability, and a commitment to individualized care.
The MH Registered Nurse - Acute Care role provides high quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes. Collaborates, delegates, and communicates with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal care.
MH RN II:
This level is competent in their clinical role and has demonstrated the ability to care for most patients assigned. Though not able to care for every patient type within their area of hire, demonstrates how to obtain the appropriate resources to develop required skills and knowledge over time. This level includes automatic advancement after 1 year as a RN I – must be in good standing and meets RN I requirements.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Other certifications may be required specific to area of practice or in accordance with Department guidelines.
One year of recent RN experience required. Automatic advancement from RN I level if all onboarding requirements are complete, including the New Grad Residency (where available).

The pay range for this position is $37.09 to $50.17 per hour. Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
