Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Enterprise Sales Representative to drive growth in our business services portfolio, including dedicated internet access, voice solutions, and carrier Ethernet connectivity, delivered over fiber. The ideal candidate combines deep telecommunications knowledge with proven success in consultative, enterprise-level sales. A successful Enterprise Sales Representative may design a custom network architecture that reduces a multi-location client’s latency by 30%, increases bandwidth capacity, and secures a multi-year service contract—driving recurring revenue and customer loyalty.

In addition to direct sales execution, this role carries near-term responsibility for helping define a repeatable enterprise sales motion — including product and pricing tiers, field-tested go-to-market findings, and coordination on strategic account initiatives — with progress reviewed at defined milestones during the first six months (see Review Process below).

Compensation is base-plus-commission with a high earnings potential, primarily covering the New England region (ME, NH, VT) of the company.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify, engage, and close opportunities with mid-to-large enterprise clients across diverse industries.
  • Present complex telecom solutions—including internet, phone, and Ethernet services—clearly and persuasively to technical and business stakeholders.
  • Understand clients’ network infrastructure needs and translate them into tailored service proposals and quotes.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and lead development to contract negotiation and account handoff.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and support teams to ensure seamless implementation and excellent customer experience.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting data in CRM systems.
  • Stay updated on emerging network technologies, competitive offerings, and regulatory developments impacting enterprise connectivity.
  • Maintain and retain customers through account management and partnering with Customer Operations to address enterprise clients’ needs.
  • Define product and pricing sets across the small-business-to-enterprise spectrum, including applicable terms, in partnership with Leadership.
  • Conduct live, in-field pitching and market research to validate demand, pricing, and positioning, and report findings back to Leadership.
  • Partner with Network Engineering and Customer Operations to understand the 3RB and apply field learnings to serviceability and proposal strategy.
  • Partner with Finance and Leadership on targeted conversion of existing copper customers to fiber, incorporating field learnings and long-term account value to the approach.
Minimum Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Strong technical understanding of IP networking, Ethernet, MPLS, and voice solutions.
  • Proven record of meeting or exceeding revenue and margin targets in a commission-based environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined, with an entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently, including in ambiguous or unproven market conditions.
Working Conditions
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time.
  • From time to time, completing required job functions may require travel.
Compensation
  • Commission:
Uncapped, performance-based, paid on closed recurring revenue under the existing commission framework.
  • Benefits package including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan options (as applicable).
