Job Summary
We are custom builders specializing in highly efficient residential construction in the Midcoast Maine area. We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Carpenter who is passionate about building science, sustainability, and superior craftsmanship. You will work on new builds, additions and remodels focusing on Advanced Framing, Airtightness, and Thermal Bridging Reduction.
Key Responsibilities- High-Performance Framing.
- Airtightness & Taping to achieve blower-door test results at Passive House levels.
- Siding, Exterior Trim, Interior Trim, Custom Built-Ins.
- Site Management:
Maintain a clean, safe job site and adhere strictly to environmental and safety standards.
- 5+ years of professional carpentry experience.
- Knowledge of, or strong desire to learn, building science principles.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Experience working with specialized air-sealing tapes, membranes.
- A positive attitude, problem-solving skills, desire to do efficient quality work and a commitment to reducing construction waste and wasted time.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Competitive hourly wages ($25 - $38/hr depending on experience).
