As a Glass Installer on the Portland Glass team, a typical day will include:
Installing flat and/or automotive glass with precision and adherence to industry standards
Interpreting blueprints and specifications to ensure accurate and high-quality installations
Following all safety protocols to ensure proper handling of glass and materials
Operating a company vehicle in a safe, professional, and responsible manner
Communicating clearly and confidently with customers to explain installation processes
Managing a dynamic workload that combines hands-on technical work with light administrative responsibilities

Prior glass installation experience preferred; 3+ years of carpentry experience required.
Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand and power tools
Solid carpentry skills, including:
Accurate measurement and tape reading
Safe operation of power tools
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Understanding of basic construction math Comfortable using technology, including computers, mobile devices, and office systems
Ability and willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening (in accordance with state laws)
High school diploma or GED required
Ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds
