Aircraft Engine Shop Technician | Brunswick, Maine Role Summary

We are seeking an Aircraft Engine Shop Technician to support the maintenance, repair, overhaul, and testing of commercial aircraft engines and components. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work from approved technical data while maintaining compliance with FAA, OEM, quality, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform engine and component disassembly, inspection, cleaning, repair, assembly, and testing.
  • Interpret OEM maintenance manuals, CMMs, EMMs, engineering instructions, and service bulletins.
  • Inspect components for wear, corrosion, cracks, and other serviceability issues.
  • Use precision measuring equipment and specialized tooling.
  • Document maintenance activities, discrepancies, and inspection findings accurately.
  • Support engine troubleshooting, module work, component replacement, and overhaul activities.
  • Maintain part traceability, tool control, and FOD prevention practices.
  • Follow FAA regulations, OSHA requirements, company procedures, and quality standards.
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, preservation, and packaging of engines and components.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in an aircraft engine, component, MRO, airline, or aviation maintenance environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and maintenance instructions.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
  • Ability to complete maintenance documentation accurately.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be authorised to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
  • Experience with commercial turbofan engines.
  • Experience with engine module or component overhaul.
  • Experience with CFM
    56, V2500, or similar commercial engines.
  • Experience in an FAA Part 145 repair station.
