The Interim Assistant Director of Student Affairs & First-Year Experience will provide general support across the Division of Student Affairs, focusing on first-year programming and support for incoming first-year students. The role includes providing academic and social support for a specific cohort, articulating the institution’s commitment to diversity, fostering an inclusive community, and promoting student health and well‑being. The position will assist students with academic and personal challenges, facilitate decision‑making tools, empower problem‑solving, and connect students to campus resources.
This is a 10‑month fixed‑term appointment, from August 15, 2026 to June 15, 2027, with a hiring range of $50,000–$52,000.
Provide support for offices working with incoming first-year students and first-year programming.
Qualifications- Must hold a Bachelor’s degree.
- Entry‑level to 3 years of experience working with teen or college students (preferred).
- Collaborative, well‑organized, solution‑oriented, with excellent attention to detail and sound judgment.
- Skilled in active listening, program facilitation, and communication with multiple constituents.
- Ability to support complex programming or initiatives, process and respond to complex information, communicate policies clearly, support students navigating academic and social circumstances, establish goals and meet deadlines, and work independently and as part of a team.

Standard hours are 8:30 a.m.
- 5:00 p.m., including some evenings and weekends. 40 hours per week. Non‑essential in case of weather emergencies.
