Tiny Town Childcare is looking for a loving, dependable Lead Infant Teacher & Opener to join our family!
This role is so special — you’ll be the very first smile our babies and families see each morning, and the steady, nurturing presence guiding our infant classroom throughout the day. LeadInfant Teacher Responsibilities
- Create and implement a warm, engaging, age-appropriate curriculum for infants (6 weeks – 18 months), focusing on sensory play, early language development, motor skills, and emotional growth.
- Provide a safe, peaceful, and nurturing environment where each baby feels secure, loved, and supported.
- Observe and document developmental milestones and communicate regularly with families about their child’s growth and daily experiences.
- Build trusting, positive relationships with families through open communication and genuine care.
- Work closely with your team to ensure smooth daily routines and consistent, high-quality care.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and organization within the classroom.
- Arrive early to thoughtfully prepare the classroom so it’s clean, safe, and ready for the day.
- Welcome children and families with warmth and positivity each morning.
- Assist with breakfast or morning routines as needed.
- Ensure the center opens smoothly and in full compliance with licensing and safety regulations.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required;
Early Childhood Education (ECE) degree or certification preferred. - Experience working with infants and/or toddlers in a licensed childcare setting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with children, families, and team members.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- A true passion for early childhood education and a commitment to excellence in care.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and flexible in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Comfort with bending, sitting on the floor, standing, walking, and moving quickly when needed to ensure children’s safety.
