Schedule Full-time Monday - Friday 9a.m-6:00p.m.Are you an experienced early childhood professional ready to take the next step in your leadership journey? Small Hands Big Dreams is seeking a dedicated, organized, and relationship-focused Assistant Director to help lead our Brunswick center.
As Assistant Director, you'll play a key role in creating an exceptional experience for children, families, and teachers while helping to ensure our center operates smoothly each day. What You'll DoAs our Assistant Director, you will:
Support the daily operations of the center alongside the Center Director.
Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
Welcome prospective families by providing engaging center tours.
Assist with enrollment, record keeping, and maintaining organized licensing and child files.
Review, complete and manage required documentation and files
Answer phones and provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective families.
Utilize multiple computer software systems for scheduling, communication, and record management.
Assist with creating and adjusting daily staffing schedules to ensure proper classroom coverage.
Support, coach, and encourage teachers while maintaining a positive team culture.
Serve as the Director's designee and lead the center when the Center Director is away.
Monitor curriculum implementation and help ensure high-quality learning experiences for children.
Maintain compliance with licensing regulations and company policies.
Step into classrooms when needed to support teachers and maintain continuity of care.
What We're Looking For Experience working in an early childhood education setting.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Comfortable using computers and multiple software systems.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
A positive attitude, professional demeanor, and servant-leader mindset.
A genuine passion for supporting children, families, and fellow educators.

Must have high school diploma
Must hold a CPL-3
Experience managing other adults
