Press Operator / Set-Up Associate

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Press Operator / Set-Up Associate to join our team in the metal stamping industry. The ideal candidate will have experience running progressive dies on presses ranging from 100 to 800+ tons. While the operator will not be responsible for setting up coils, there may be some involvement in setting up tools at the press.

This position requires strong math skills, familiarity with blueprints, and proficiency in using micrometers and calipers.

Responsibilities:

• Press Operation:
  Operate presses ranging from 100 to 800+ tons, ensuring efficient production of metal stamped parts.
• Tool Set-Up Assistance:
  Assist in setting up tools at the press, ensuring proper alignment and functionality for production.
• Blueprint Interpretation:
  Read and interpret blueprints to ensure parts are produced according to specifications.
• Measurement:
  Utilize micrometers, calipers, and other measurement tools to verify dimensions and ensure product quality.
• Quality Control:
  Monitor the production process and make necessary adjustments to meet product specifications.
• Troubleshooting:
  Identify and troubleshoot any issues with machinery or production, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.

Requirements:

• Experience:
  
  Proven experience running progressive dies in the metal stamping industry.
• Press Equipment:
  Familiarity with presses ranging from 100 to 800+ tons.

  Strong mathematical ability for measurements and calculations in production.
• Blueprint Reading:
  Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
• Measuring Tools:
  Proficient in using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure that all parts meet the required specifications.
