Local tool and die manufacturing company is seeking a Wire EDM Operator that can set up, operator and program.

6:00am-3:00pm

Basic Function:
The EDM Operator is responsible for setting up and programming electrical discharge machines to produce precision parts for tool-makers and designers. The operator will ensure optimal functionality and quality throughout the machining process.

Job Duties:

• Set up and program EDM equipment to ensure proper functionality for precision part production.
• Operate multiple thru wire EDM machines efficiently.
• Measure and document dimensions of parts accurately to meet specifications.
• Monitor the EDM machining process closely, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet defined standards and specifications.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize workflows and production efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and company guidelines.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical training in machining or a related field preferred.
• Experience operating EDM machines:
  Set up and programming
• Strong understanding of machining processes and precision part production.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Detail-oriented with strong measuring and inspection skills.
• Good problem-solving abilities and a commitment to quality.
