Position: Pricing Actuary for a Reputable Insurance in Brussels
For one of our clients, we are actively looking for a  Pricing Actuary for a reputable insurance in Brussels.

A well-established insurance company is looking for a  Pricing Actuary  to join its actuarial team and contribute to the development, monitoring, and optimization of pricing strategies across its insurance portfolio.

This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of actuarial science, data analytics, underwriting, and business strategy. You will play a key role in ensuring the profitability, competitiveness, and sustainability of insurance products while supporting the company's growth ambitions.

You will collaborate closely with underwriting, product management, finance, risk, and data teams in a dynamic and evolving environment.

Pricing & Product Management
Develop, maintain, and enhance actuarial pricing models for insurance products.
Analyze portfolio performance and recommend pricing adjustments based on profitability objectives.
Participate in the design, launch, and review of new products and coverages.
Assess the impact of market trends, claims developments, and customer behavior on pricing strategies.
Support underwriting teams with technical pricing expertise and recommendations.

Portfolio Analysis
Monitor loss ratios, claims experience, and portfolio profitability.
Conduct regular pricing reviews and identify opportunities for improvement.
Analyze emerging risks and market developments to anticipate future impacts.
Perform sensitivity analyses and scenario testing to support strategic decision-making.

Data Analytics & Modelling
Utilize actuarial and statistical techniques to improve pricing accuracy.
Develop predictive models and analytical tools to support business decisions.
Ensure the reliability and quality of data used for pricing analyses.
Contribute to the automation and modernization of pricing processes and reporting.

Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with underwriting, finance, risk management, and commercial teams.
Translate complex actuarial analyses into clear and actionable business recommendations.
Present findings and recommendations to management and key stakeholders.
Participate in strategic projects related to product development and portfolio management.

Governance & Regulatory Support
Ensure pricing methodologies comply with regulatory and internal governance requirements.
Contribute to actuarial documentation and model validation exercises.
Support internal and external audit requests where required.

Experience
Master's degree in Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in an actuarial pricing role within the insurance sector.
Experience in Life, Non-Life, Health, or Specialty Insurance is considered an asset.
Exposure to product development and portfolio management is highly valued.

Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of actuarial pricing methodologies.
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
Proficiency with actuarial and analytical tools such as:
Excel
SQL
Python
R
SAS
Pricing software (Radar, Emblem, Prophet or equivalent)
Knowledge of Solvency II and IFRS 17 is considered an advantage.

Personal Skills
Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
Ability to challenge assumptions and provide constructive recommendations.
Proactive and solution-oriented approach.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Team player with the ability to work autonomously.
Comfortable working in a changing and fast-paced environment.

Languages
Professional proficiency in English.
French and/or Dutch are considered strong assets.
