Bryan Elementary School is seeking a compassionate, patient, and dedicated Classroom Paraprofessional to work in our Kindergarten classrooms. In this role, you will provide daily, direct support to a Kindergarten teacher, helping to implement educational plans, foster a supportive learning environment, and assist students with diverse academic, behavioral, and physical needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Teacher Support: Work collaboratively with the Kindergarten teacher to implement daily lesson plans, modify instructional materials, and reinforce classroom routines.
- Direct Student Assistance: Provide small-group or one-on-one instructional, behavioral, and social-emotional support tailored to individual student needs.
- Classroom Management: Help maintain a positive, structured, and predictable classroom environment using positive behavior intervention strategies.
- Supervision: Assist with student supervision during arrival, dismissal, recess, and other scheduled non-instructional times.
- Hours: 5.75 hours per day
- Daily Schedule Breakdown:
Assignment
7:30 AM - 8:00 AM
Arrival Duty
8:00 AM - 12:15 PM
Kindergarten Classroom Support (1/2 Hour Unpaid Lunch w/ time determined with Classroom Teacher)
12:15 AM - 1:00 PM
Kindergarten Lunch / Recess Duty
1:00 PM - 1:45 PM

Qualifications & Requirements
- Certification:
Must have obtained (or be eligible to obtain) the ESEA (Elementary and Secondary Education Act) certification / Ohio Educational Aide Permit. - High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate's degree or 48 semester hours of higher education preferred).
- Experience working with elementary-aged children, particularly those with special needs, is highly preferred.
- Strong communication, patience, and collaborative teamwork skills.
