Maintenance / Mechanical Technician
The Maintenance / Mechanical Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical production equipment supporting lithography and can manufacturing operations. This role focuses on mechanical reliability, preventive maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical production equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and uptime
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system issues
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical manuals
- Support installation and startup of new equipment
- Maintain accurate maintenance records in CMMS or maintenance tracking systems
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity and efficiency
- Follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures
Skills and Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED required
• 2–5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in manufacturing
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications• Experience in metals or packaging manufacturing
• Experience maintaining can manufacturing or lithography equipment
• Experience in a union manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb as needed
• Exposure to manufacturing environment conditions
