We are looking for Commercial Tire Technicians to join our growing family at our Bryan, Ohio location.
A commercial tire technician is a skilled professional responsible for installing, repairing, maintaining, and balancing tires on heavy‑duty fleet vehicles such as semi‑trucks, buses, construction machinery, and agricultural equipment. They operate both within a service shop and out in the field to handle emergency roadside assistance calls.
Responsibilities- For tires: remove, install, rotate, balance, and perform flat repairs on commercial and large equipment tires (in shop or at customer location)
- For retreads: prepare retreads, unload treads, and manage staging and truck loading
- Raise and lower vehicles safely with hydraulic or floor jacks. Operate and maintain shop machinery and diagnostic equipment.
- Read work orders thoroughly and perform all listed tasks.
- Perform all work within the company’s time standards.
- Must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
- Must have a valid driver’s license; driving record must meet company’s insurance requirements.
- Position requires continuous standing, bending, lifting, and ability to lift up to 50+ pounds.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, customer‑service oriented environment.
- Team player: works well as a member of a group.
- Detail oriented: capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well.
- Must pass a pre‑employment background check and drug screen.
- Frequent squatting, bending, and twisting.
- Lifting: frequent lifting over 50 pounds from ground to chest height.
- Repetitive motion.
- Sustained vibrations.
Standing for extended periods of time. - Read ticket and perform work listed; write confirmation and recommendation.
- Work in environments that are not climate controlled; temperatures range from extremely hot to extremely cold, depending on the season.
- Vision, sense of sound, and PPE requirements.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, safety harnesses, steel‑reinforced footwear.
$18 – $26 hourly wage
