What You’ll Do Technical & Client Work
  • Perform advanced bookkeeping for a variety of clients, including reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Prepare financial statements in compliance with firm standards.
  • Process payroll, payroll tax filings, and related compliance work.
  • Provide client support including answering questions, troubleshooting issues, and assisting with accounting software.
Workflow & Oversight
  • Coordinate with CAS Manager to assign and prioritize work across the team.
  • Monitor workflow and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Review bookkeeping work for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
  • Assist in resolving workflow bottlenecks and communicating priorities to staff.
Team Support & Development
  • Provide guidance, training, and informal mentoring to bookkeepers and senior bookkeepers.
  • Assist with onboarding new staff and helping them learn firm processes and systems.
  • Serve as a resource for staff questions and technical support.
Process & Collaboration
  • Collaborate with tax staff to ensure books are completed timely for tax preparation.
  • Participate in process improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and consistency.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and support standardization of procedures.
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong bookkeeping experience (typically 4-6+ years).
  • Proficiency with Quick Books and willingness to learn new software.
  • Experience with payroll processing and related compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to guide or support other staff.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills with clients and team members.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new technologies, including AI‑powered tools.
  • Willingness to work overtime during peak tax season.
  • Willingness to collaborate across departments and locations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
  • Experience reviewing or overseeing bookkeeping work.
  • Advanced Quick Books knowledge.
  • Experience training or mentoring staff.
  • Familiarity with tax workflows and how CAS work supports tax preparation.
