Position Information

Responsibilities
  • Perform entry‑level administrative support work following specific instructions.
  • Answer telephone calls, evaluate requests, and route messages, serving as receptionist or front desk assistant.
  • Assist in maintaining confidential information and records.
  • Assist in inventory of materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Assist in processing routine documents such as vouchers, personnel records, titles or registrations.
  • Perform general warehousing duties such as stocking, issuing materials, and maintaining records.
  • Disseminate information to the public.
  • Maintain files, records, and logs.
  • Maintain radio contact with field units and others.
  • Make copies and distribute as instructed.
  • Open, sort, and distribute mail.
  • Conduct preliminary research and gather pertinent data for assignments.
  • Perform routine word processing duties and conduct quality checks of documents created.
  • Run errands as required.
  • Perform other job responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Education

Must be a student in high school or another educational institution, or accepted into a college, university, or educational institution.

Other Conditions

Must be at least 16 years of age and a student currently enrolled in high school or any institution of higher education, including trade/vocational schools.

Employees at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license may be assigned driving duties and may use power tools.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Subject to environmental conditions; protection from weather but not temperature changes.

Light work: lift up to 20 lbs at a time and frequently lift or carry objects up to 10 lbs.

Sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.

Repetitive Motion: substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
