Childcare Provider - Catholic Daycare

Join our dedicated team at a welcoming Catholic daycare, where we nurture young minds and hearts in a caring, faith-based environment. We are seeking compassionate and responsible childcare professionals who are committed to fostering a safe, engaging, and spiritually enriching atmosphere for children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children in a daycare setting
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
  • Foster a positive, inclusive environment aligned with Catholic values and teachings
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and daily activities
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Support children's individual needs and encourage respectful interactions among peers
  • Assist with meal times, nap times, and other daily routines

Skills and

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED acceptable to Texas Education Agency.
  • Prior experience working with young children in a daycare or preschool setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate activities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and build positive relationships with children and families.
  • Respect for and understanding of Catholic values and teachings.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid required or willingness to obtain.
  • Reliable, patient, and nurturing demeanor.
  • Additional childcare certifications are a plus.
  • Must maintain compliance with the Diocese of Austin Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) policies throughout the employment period.

Working Conditions:

  • All employees of the Parish are engaged in ministry and closely tied to the Pastor in the exercise of his ministry and obligations to the church.
  • The Parish is an at-will employer.
  • Working in a fast-paced environment with priorities and plans that may change rapidly.
  • Working on weekends, evenings, and some holidays may be required.
  • Will be exposed to religious ceremonies, conduct, and speech, including Roman Catholic Christian prayer and liturgical celebrations.
  • Will be required to adhere to established dress codes and conduct standards.
