As a Construction Specialist, you will engage in a variety of impactful duties tailored to specific project types and timelines, providing essential technical, field, and site administration support.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the pursuit phase:
Review documents, prepare deliverables, and participate in pre-bid site visits. - Evaluate project costs:
Analyze complex proposals and research costs related to labor, materials, and equipment. - Develop project schedules:
Create preliminary schedules for engineering and construction activities. - Establish General
Conditions:
Formulate requirements for staff, temporary facilities, security, and safety measures as outlined in bidding documents. - Collaborate during planning and execution:
Partner with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure safe and timely project completion. - Oversee material logistics:
Ensure timely delivery and installation of materials and equipment by coordinating with field personnel and vendors. - Prepare technical documentation:
Draft and review increasingly complex submittals and manage construction documents issued to field crews. - Conduct inspections:
Maintain Quality Control (QC) by inspecting project sites and reporting findings. - Collaborate with H&S professionals:
Assess safety performance metrics of potential subcontractors and vendors during the procurement process. - Manage project close-outs:
Work closely with the Project Manager to finalize all contract-required deliverables and complete company close-out procedures. - Coordinate control panel tasks:
Collaborate with the Automation and Electrical Self-Perform team as needed, including fabrication and testing on various projects. - Perform additional tasks:
Be flexible and ready to tackle other assigned responsibilities as they arise.
