Job SummaryOur Skilled Construction Laborers provide support to Skilled Craft workers and assist in the successful completion of construction and engineering work. This position will work in other crafts at levels appropriate to training and skills as requested by the project supervisor. Ability to follow guidance and instructions from senior personnel, supervisors, or foremen to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Learn to safely and effectively use or operate work‑related tools and equipment.
- Look for opportunities for improvement in all work tasks, means and methods regarding the work and be willing to learn from others.
- Produce high quality work, safely and productively at all times.
- Provide feedback to ensure all materials, tools, equipment and information is available for the work.
- If unsure about any aspect of the work or issues regarding safe practices, ask a supervisor before continuing.
- Eliminate waste such as waiting, rework, transporting, material storage and time.
- Effective math skills—add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- Learn and understand all safety hazards related to the work.
- Maintain positive working relationships with all members of the crew.
