Purdy Mazda is looking for self-motivated individuals who would like to serve as a Service Advisor. The Service Advisor serves as a primary point of contact for service customers by coordinating vehicle repair and maintenance services in a professional, customer-focused, and operationally efficient manner. This role supports customer retention, repair quality, communication, and service department performance while promoting a hospitality-driven customer experience aligned with dealership standards and values.

Job Description:

Customer Service & Vehicle Intake

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally while obtaining vehicle and service information accurately.
  • Listen to customer concerns, identify service needs, and assist with determining appropriate repair or maintenance recommendations.
  • Conduct vehicle walkarounds, visual inspections, road tests, or customer ride-alongs as needed to confirm service concerns.
  • Advise customers regarding recommended maintenance, manufacturer service schedules, and repair needs.
  • Build customer trust through professional communication, responsiveness, and transparency throughout the service experience.

Repair Order Management & Workflow Coordination

  • Prepare repair orders including customer concerns, labor operations, cost estimates, and service recommendations.
  • Provide complete and accurate estimates for labor, parts, and repair timelines.
  • Establish and communicate estimated completion times and coordinate workflow with dispatch and service personnel.
  • Notify dispatch personnel and technicians regarding incoming repair work and operational priorities.
  • Monitor repair progress throughout the service process and communicate updates, delays, or additional repair needs to customers timely and professionally.
  • Obtain customer authorization prior to performing additional repairs or services beyond the original estimate.

Customer Communication & Service Follow-Up

  • Explain completed repairs, charges, maintenance recommendations, and service documentation clearly and professionally.
  • Handle customer concerns and service-related questions in accordance with dealership standards.
  • Maintain communication with customers regarding work in progress, appointment scheduling, and vehicle status updates.
  • Support customer follow-up initiatives and retention efforts designed to promote customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Maintain high standards for customer satisfaction and service experience consistency.

Operational Support & Documentation

  • Review repair orders for operational accuracy, completed work, customer authorization, and documentation requirements prior to closing.
  • Maintain organized repair order documentation, service files, pricing guides, and department forms.
  • Coordinate vehicle parking, key control, and vehicle security procedures in accordance with dealership standards.
  • Assist with service scheduling, appointment coordination, and operational workflow management.
  • Support quality control processes intended to minimize comeback repairs and operational concerns.

Professional Standards & Compliance

  • Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and strong attendance record.
  • Support dealership standards related to professionalism, customer care, safety, and workplace conduct.
  • Ensure compliance with dealership procedures, manufacturer requirements, and applicable operational standards.
  • Participate in meetings, training, and development opportunities as assigned.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and team-oriented workplace culture.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous automotive service advising, customer service, hospitality, or sales experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
