Facility in the Bryan/College Station area of Texas is seeking OB coverage. Details are below:
Job Summary:
Shift 8am to 8am, 24-hour shifts; 1 day (24 hours) off between shifts is acceptable
Coverage Model:
In house with 2nd OB MD in the community as back up each shift
Average pt volume: 1-3 deliveries, 10 triages, 1-2 ER/Medicine unit consults, 2100 yearly volume
Inpatient only Procedures required: C/Sections, Operative Vaginal Deliveries, D&C, Laparotomy/ Laparoscopy for emergency Gyn surgery% of High/Low risk:
Approx 40% high risk that are presented to the Laborist service% C-sections vs. Natural births:
Primary c/s rate 12% for our service
