Texas A&M University College of Nursing invites applications for a full-time, tenured or tenure‑track faculty position at our Bryan, Texas campus. Responsibilities include teaching in graduate and undergraduate programs, commensurate with the candidate’s credentials and experience. This 9‑month appointment begins in August 2026 and offers the possibility of a summer contract. Applicants will be considered for the faculty title of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor.

Salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience.

• Faculty are expected to teach effectively across classroom, clinical, simulation, and online environments, developing new courses that align with current curricular and accreditation standards.
• Prepare and revise course materials and assessments to enhance student learning.
• Select and manage high‑quality clinical experiences, provide competent clinical supervision, evaluate student performance, advise, and mentor students for academic success.
• Maintain posted office hours; collaborate with and mentor faculty colleagues; stay current with clinical certifications.
• Conduct research and scholarship activities consistent with rank and appointment expectations; disseminate findings through publications and presentations.
• Seek competitive external funding to support research endeavors; lead or collaborate on scholarly projects that advance nursing education, clinical practice, or health outcomes.
• Participate in college, university, and professional activities: committee membership, accreditation or self‑study initiatives, advising student organizations, engaging with the community.
• Mentor junior colleagues and provide leadership within college or university committees and professional organizations or boards.

  Education:
  
  Earned PhD in nursing. PhD in a related field is acceptable with at least one graduate degree in nursing (e.g., MSN, MN, MS in Nursing).
• Required Registrations, Certifications, and Licenses: Candidate must be eligible for a Texas RN and/or APRN license depending upon credentials.
• Experience teaching academic nursing at the baccalaureate level or higher.
• Demonstrated clinical expertise in nursing.
• Must be qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank and eligible for tenure consideration at Texas A&M University depending on rank. Tenure determination requires an accomplished record of teaching, research, and service.
• Demonstrated record of scholarly productivity, extramural funding, or strong potential for obtaining extramural funding. Evidence of research, publication, dissemination, and collaboration consistent with expectations for the faculty rank.
• Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Use of simulation in nursing education; professional certification in nursing specialty area.
