What we want

The Program Manager – Interprofessional Simulation Applications, under direction, plans, organizes, directs, and manages day-to-day activities. This includes advising implementation of small-scale and large-scale interprofessional simulations (e.g., in-person, virtual reality, etc.) across the interprofessional education curriculum to develop competency-based learning opportunities for health professions learners (students, faculty, staff, community partners, etc.).

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five years of working in higher education, particularly in health professions education, interprofessional education, or related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate or professional degree in health-related field.
  • Health professions or interprofessional education experience in a higher education setting.
  • Experience in planning, organizing, and managing activities for small- and/or large-scale interprofessional simulations.
  • Experience in developing competency-based learning opportunities for health professions learners (students, faculty, staff, community partners, etc.).
  • Experience in managing/monitoring departmental budgets and contracts.
  • Experience developing strategic plans and goals for small- and large-scale interprofessional simulations.
  • Experience working on teams to ensure tasks are distributed effectively and appropriately to manage workload and meet goals.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and/or related word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS) such as Canvas.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Maintains attention to detail and utilizes sound judgment.

Responsibilities

Program Management and Administration

  • Plans, organizes, and manages day-to-day activities for small- and large-scale interprofessional simulations.
  • Develops procedures and implements logistics for the administration of small-scale and large-scale interprofessional simulations.
  • Assists with monitoring IPER budget and related contracts for interprofessional simulations and equipment to ensure overarching program budget is maintained.
  • Assists in developing strategic plans and goals for small- and large-scale interprofessional simulations.
  • Works to ensure vertical integration with foundational and advanced IPE curriculum.
  • Assists with the development and production of materials designed for small- and large-scale interprofessional simulations.
  • Research, develop, and prepare presentations with internal and external stakeholders and local and regional conferences.
  • Liaises/meets with internal and external stakeholders to promote excellence in program delivery and to ensure communication between partners.
  • Works with other team members to ensure tasks are distributed across the IPER team and appropriately across stakeholders to manage workload.
  • Assists with other program work groups as needed.

Student Engagement

  • Engages students directly for operational coordination.
  • Develops and conducts programs for students, faculty, staff, and community volunteers including leadership training, conferences, seminars, and workshops.
  • Serves in an advisory capacity for certain initiatives.

Communication and Collaboration

  • Maintains and develops communications between partners by attending meetings.
  • Collaborates with teams of colleagues and stakeholders to ensure tasks are distributed effectively and appropriately to manage workload and meet goals.
