The K-12 Program Coordinator I, under general supervision, coordinates the planning, development, and implementation of outreach activities for the Rural Medicine ISD Program at Texas A&M University, Naresh K. Vashisht College of Medicine. The K-12 Program Coordinator I assists with developing and implementing engaging learning opportunities that introduce students to healthcare careers, while also supporting partnerships that strengthen rural health education.

Collaborates effectively with schools, communities, and healthcare partners.

Full-time | College Station, TX

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in teaching and/or program coordination.
• Two (2) years of related experience working in a school district setting, experience with pathway programs or healthcare education or related areas.

• Texas teaching certification.
• Five (5) years' experience working in educational setting.
• Previous TAMU experience.
• Experience with conference and event planning.
• Experience working with faculty, staff, and students.
• Experience managing and/or coordinating the delivery of curriculum.
• Experience working as a CTE or science teacher in Texas public school.
• Knowledge of junior high and high school pathway programs.
• A Class  C  vehicle operator's license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.

• Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Maintains attention to detail and utilizes sound judgement.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.

• Plans, organizes, and coordinates outreach activities and events that promote healthcare career awareness for K-12 students.
• Plans and implements learning opportunities, camps, field trips and virtual learning events that align with program goals.
• Coordinates logistics for program events, such as med camps and field trip experiences.
• Ensures compliance with youth protection (UYP) program guidelines.
• Tracks participation, assists in outcome evaluation, and prepares reports to inform program development and growth.
• Responds to inquiries regarding program offerings.

• Manages and secures vendor contracts for events including hotels, catering, space rental, etc.
• Tracks expenditures and processes purchases.

• Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with rural school districts, teachers and community stakeholders.
• Prepare presentations for internal & external partners.
• Represents the program at meetings, conferences and community events.
• May develop and update training materials and deliver training sessions.
