We are seeking innovators to join our newly formed Applications Engineering (AE) Team at Bryan Research & Engineering, LLC (BR&E). In this role, you will work closely with other AE Team members to develop and deploy automated Pro Max® models tailored to customer facilities, driving enhanced reliability and process optimization in the energy and chemicals industries. • Model Development:
  Design and implement automated Pro Max models as soft sensors to optimize oil & gas and petrochemical processes using real-time plant data.
• Customer
  
  Collaboration:
  
  Partner with clients to understand their facility operations, process requirements, and optimization goals.
• Process Optimization:
  Analyze simulations to identify opportunities for improving reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of customer facilities.
• Project Management:
  Manage projects from initial scope to final delivery, ensuring timely completion.
• Knowledge Sharing:
  Publish and present technical papers at professional forums, conferences, and associations.
• Continuous Improvement:
  Collaborate with  &E’s Development Team to enhance Pro Max capabilities, incorporating feedback from customer applications.

• Experience:
  • Work experience in a plant production environment in oil & gas or related industries (upstream/midstream, refining, and petrochemicals) is preferred.
  • Hands‑on experience applying process simulation software to solve challenging problems.
  • Experience with process control systems and process troubleshooting is a plus.
• Skills:
  • Creative problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
  • Polished communication skills for collaborating with clients and internal teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Familiarity with scripting (e.g., Python, VBA) is desirable.
  • Familiarity with database programming and data historians is also desirable.
• Travel:
  • Travel to customer locations for on‑site support or to industry conferences (5-10% travel expected).
