Project Manager – EngineeringThis role reports to the Systems Engineering Manager and is primarily responsible for leading and coordinating multiple complex projects within our Reactor Pilot Program and Fuel Line Pilot Facility, while contributing to the design and development of our Integral Molten Salt Reactor (IMSR) technology.
Key Responsibilities Project Management & Coordination- Lead simultaneous project streams across the Reactor Pilot Program and Fuel Line Pilot Facility, ensuring alignment with overall IMSR development objectives
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies for multiple concurrent initiatives
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams including engineering, procurement, safety, quality assurance, licensing and regulatory compliance
- Implement and maintain project management methodologies appropriate for nuclear technology development environments
- Track and report project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to senior management and stakeholders
- Coordinate with internal engineering teams, R&D, Procurement, and executive leadership to ensure alignment of pilot program objectives with organizational strategic goals
- Manage relationships and information transfer with key suppliers and vendors, ensuring timely delivery of critical components and materials while maintaining quality standards and cost targets
- Facilitate engagement with EPC contractors, coordinating design reviews, construction milestones, and commissioning activities across multiple project phases
- Present project updates, technical findings, and resource requirements to internal governance committees and senior management
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with procurement and supply chain teams to anticipate and resolve material availability challenges
- Coordinate with internal Safety, Quality Assurance, and Licensing teams to ensure all pilot program activities meet compliance requirements
- Act as liaison between EPC contractors and internal technical teams during facility construction and commissioning phases
- Develop and maintain comprehensive risk registers for all managed projects
- Ensure adherence to nuclear quality assurance programs and safety protocols
- Lead root cause analyses and corrective action implementation when issues arise
- Project Management – Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional project teams, oversee project life cycles, and deliver projects on time.
- Communication – Proven ability to transfer complex technical information between engineering teams, executives, and clients.
