Overview

Job Summary and Responsibilities: Job Summary:
Candidate will join a newly formed Advanced Practice Provider pool for coverage in our various clinics across the Common Spirit Health Texas Market in Bryan/College Station. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction in a collaborative environment to provide direct patient care. Candidate will display exceptional interpersonal skills and desire to develop strong ties with the community and existing medical staff.

Prior experience in Urgent Care setting would be beneficial but not mandatory.

Responsibilities
  • Join a newly formed Advanced Practice Provider pool for coverage across multiple clinics in the Texas Market.
  • Provide direct patient care with a focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction in a collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills and build strong ties with the community and medical staff.
Core Competencies for Advanced Practice Clinicians (APC)
  • Obtain and record medical history;
  • Perform physical examinations including rectal and pelvic exams as appropriate;
  • Order, conduct, and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as applicable to specialty coverage;
  • Formulate a diagnosis;
  • Identify and prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions as allowed by relevant boards and regulations;
  • Educate and counsel patients and families according to diagnosis;
  • Make appropriate referrals to patients and families.
Job Requirements

Education and Certifications required:

  • Master’s degree; graduate from an approved PA or NP program;
  • Texas license;
  • National Board Certification;
  • BLS (active).

Experience: 1-3 years’ experience preferred, but new grads also happily considered.
