Position: Medical Scribe For Cardiology Office

Medical Scribe for Cardiology

Job Type: Full Time - 40 hours per week. Work hours are Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 5:00pm, and Friday 8:00am-12:00pm. This position does not accommodate part-time hours. 1 year commitment preferred. Ideal position for pre‑med or pre‑nursing student tracks.

Work Location: In person.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Create and review medical charts for accuracy and completion in accordance with practice guidelines.
  • Navigate the facility computer system and electronic medical record (eClinical

    Works).
  • Assist in completing charts by transcribing results of patient and doctor consultations.
  • Gain substantial knowledge in how to appropriately document patient history, physical exams, assessments, diagnostic results, medical procedures, treatment plans, medical opinions of consultants, diagnoses, medication/prescription information, and follow‑up instructions.
  • Review past history and test results on patients which are critical in driving medical decisions by your provider.
  • Perform other clerical duties as assigned by the practice manager or physician.
  • Provide patients with stress test, ECHO, venous duplex, arterial duplex, carotid duplex, and lab results.
  • Gain clinical experience by observing cardiology procedures including venous intervention and pacemaker insertions.
Qualifications
  • Has the ability to work in a fast‑paced setting supporting the provider, nurses and team members.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in computer software applications and EMR systems.
  • A basic understanding of patient care, medical terminology, and appropriate clinical pharmacology protocols for a medical assistant scope of practice.
